TDP welcomes two new dentists

24th September 2019

As work nears completion on our practice expansion and renovation, we are delighted to welcome two new dentists to TDP.

Originally from the Isle of Man, Sammy joins us from Cardiff where he qualified in 2018. He subsequently spent a year in a training post in general dental practice in South Wales and comes highly recommended as a caring and conscientious dentist. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has a particular interest in oral surgery and treating anxious patients, helping them to feel at ease. Sammy is currently working towards his Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS RCS) and furthering his skills before embarking on further postgraduate training.

Viditi qualified as a dentist in India in 2009, where she gained valuable experience as a dental practitioner. She subsequently relocated to the UK with her husband and enjoyed a short career break while raising her young family. During that period she maintained a strong passion for dentistry and has undertaken a wide range of dental courses to keep up to date. In 2019, Viditi was awarded the Licence in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (LDS RCS) and was one of only a handful of overseas candidates who passed at the first attempt. Viditi is committed to postgraduate education and is looking forward to gaining further experience from the highly qualified colleagues at Torrington Dental Practice. She has a special interest in Restorative and Aesthetic dentistry and is currently studying for her Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF RCS).

Sammy and Viditi join us as we say farwell to three colleagues who are moving on to pastures old and new. Howard Greeves is leaving us at the beginning of October, having spent the past 18 months travelling one day a week from Bristol to help us out with our NHS commitment. He has now taken a full-time role closer to home in Bath. Lisa Madden and Eimear Neilan were both with us on short-term contracts. Lisa has returned to Ireland to take a Senior House officer job in Limerick, while Eimear has been lured by the bright lights of London. We wish them all the best of luck with their future careers.

I have always felt confident with the level of care and skill all the staff at the dental practice show. I can honestly say it is by far the best dentist I have been to – which is why I keep coming back.
