Cancellations & failure to attend
We aim to provide all our patients with the best possible service and to achieve this we need your cooperation.
We understand that you have a busy schedule and recognise the need to provide an efficient service. We will make every effort to book an appointment time and date to suit you.
Patients then need to notify us if you can not make the booked appointment. We send out the booking confirmation with the appointment card attached when leaving the surgery.
Appointments can be made or rescheduled by calling us on 01805 623657 or emailing the team on reception@torringtondental.co.uk
Illness: Patients who are unable to make their appointment because of illness should, where possible, contact the practice as soon as they are aware that they are unable to attend. If you are unsure whether you can make it to an appointment, please contact us early to discuss the matter rather than leaving it to the last minute.
Short Notice Cancellations: Our practice requires 24 hours notice for cancellation of appointments. Failure to notify us within 24 hours of cancelling can result in a charge of 50% of the treatment fee. We do take exceptional circumstances into consideration.
Failure to attend: Failing to notify us before the appointment time, will result in a failure to attend charge being added to your dental account of up to 50% of the treatment fee, we do take exceptional circumstances into consideration.
- Contact the patient as soon as we are aware of the need to reschedule or delay and explain the reason why
- At the time of contact we will offer the earliest next available appointment
- If the patient is unable to commit to an appointment at that contact, then we will ask the patient to contact us and will book a new appointment at the earliest time available
