Kim Durk

Kim Durk

Head Nurse

Kim joined the practice in 2004 as a trainee dental nurse. She qualified in 2006 and was soon promoted to Head Nurse, a role she has now resumed after taking a break from the role to have her children.

Kim is a very busy person at the practice, and recently has added “Dental Health Educator” to her role, working with patients on a one to one basis, as well as visiting local schools, community groups etc. to spread the message about the importance of good oral hygiene.

Kim has additional NEBDN qualifications in Impression taking, Plaque scoring and Fluoride varnish application, all skills that complement her Dental Health Educator role.

Kim has also recently completed her ILM Decontamination Lead course.Kim is also a dental nurse tutor and examiner for the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN) and runs the NEBDN course from Torrington Dental Practice.

Lisa Curtis

Implant Team Leader

Lisa has been working alongside TDP founder and partner, Ian Mills, since 1998 and played a key role in establishing the Devon Dental Implant Clinic at Torrington from its very beginning. She is a highly skilled and qualified implant nurse and also serves as our dedicated Implant Treatment Coordinator.

As a Treatment Coordinator, Lisa is your main point of contact throughout your implant journey. She will discuss your implant options in detail, explain how dental implants can help, outline other suitable dental treatments, and guide you through pricing and the dental finance options we offer.

Lisa also helps coordinate appointments, ensures you fully understand each step of your treatment plan, and is always available to answer any questions, providing reassurance and support from start to finish. As team leader, Lisa oversees all aspects of treatment within the implant clinic, ensuring every patient receives seamless, high-quality care.

Outside of work, Lisa cherishes time with her family and grandchildren, enjoys exploring the Southwest Coastal Path in short stages, and loves socialising with friends, especially over afternoon tea with a glass of fizz!

Neah Rooke

Neah Rooke

Dental Implant Nurse/Orthodontic team Leader

Neah joined the practice in 2008 as a trainee dental nurse and has since gained her NEBDN Certificate in Dental Nursing and Dental Implant Nursing. She has been a member of the implant team since 2014 and is also responsible for leading the orthodontic clinic at Torrington Dental Practice.

Neah works closely with Lisa in all clinical duties and, as an integral part of the Implant Team, regularly attends implant courses and conferences to update and enhance her skills. Outside of dentistry she enjoys walking and yoga and relaxing with her family and friends.

Narome Grigg

Sedation Nurse/ Dental Nurse

Narome joined the practice as an apprentice dental nurse in 2008 and has since gained her NEBDN Dental Nursing qualifications and her NEBDN Certificate in Conscious Sedation. As Sedation Team Leader, Narome works alongside Rhys Gabe providing our patients with a wide range of dental services.

In her own time, Narome enjoys being with her family and friends and keeping fit.

Abbie Ronald

Abbie joined TDP in January 2020 as a trainee dental nurse, having begun her training in 2018 with a different practice. She has since progressed to become one of our qualified dental nurses and in 2023 also gained her IACSD Certificate in Conscious Sedation. Abbie is also a member of our Implant Team.

In her spare time, Abbie likes to play netball and spend time with friends and family.

Leanne became one of our qualified dental nurses in January 2023. She is loving every aspect of the job, particularly getting to know our patients and supporting them through their treatment. Leanne has now achieved the NEBDN Certificate of Conscious Sedation Nursing.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Primrose Hill

Primrose joined the practice in 2019 and has since gained her dental nursing qualifications. She works alongside Rhys Gabe to help provide our patients with a wide range of services including restorative dentistry, implants, complex treatment, and anxious patients. She is also part of our sedation team, completing a course in inhalation and intravenous sedation.

Primrose is currently attending Peninsula Dental School studying toward a Dental Therapist and Hygenist qualification.

When she’s not working she loves to keep fit.

Izzy Montague

Izzy qualified as a dental nurse in June 2023. She has enjoyed learning all aspects of dentistry. She particularly enjoys communicating with patients to improve their overall experience, in turn helping to reduce their anxieties.

As an avid baker in the making, she enjoys cake decorating, going to festivals and spending time with friends. In her spare time, she enjoys playing badminton to keep fit.

Nicole joined the practice in 2022, having gained her dental nurse qualification in 2020 at another practice. At the end of 2022 Nicole also completed her qualification in Oral Health Education which means she can now enjoy working with patients to help them understand the importance of Oral Health.

Nicole is also part of the domiciliary team which she finds very rewarding being able to go out into the community to help those who may not be able to attend the practice. In 2023, Nicole began working towards her certificate in Conscious Sedation.

Outside of work Nicole enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, running and going to the gym.

Pam joined the team in late 2022 as a trainee dental nurse, having previously worked in the care industry. She qualified in 2024 and is now a very caring, attentive dental nurse who always helps patients feel at ease when in practice. She loves every aspect of the job, particularly getting to know our patients and supporting them through their treatment.

Pam got married in 2023 and enjoys spending time with her husband and family in her spare time.
