Meet Your Dentist: Carolina Moroianu
Carolina Moroianu
General Dentistry
Carolina Moroianu graduated from the University of Plymouth with a degree in Dentistry and has been living and working in the South West ever since. Although originally from Moldova, Carolina moved to London with her family at the age of 15. When it came time to choose a university, she headed to Plymouth — not realising she’d fall completely in love with the natural beauty and slower pace of Devon life.
As a self-described “city girl,” Carolina didn’t expect to find herself so at home in the South West, but it quickly became somewhere she felt connected to, and it’s now been her home for over six years.
Carolina is known for her warm, bubbly nature and her genuine love for connecting with people. She brings a calm, positive presence to the dental chair, which makes her especially well-suited to treating anxious patients and children. She takes pride in creating a welcoming, non-judgmental environment where patients feel safe, listened to, and cared for.
While she has a particular interest in treating nervous patients, Carolina enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is committed to continuing professional development to keep her skills up to date. Whether she’s conducting routine check-ups or more complex treatments, her focus is always on providing high-quality, ethical care tailored to each individual. She also has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry — particularly creating realistic, natural-looking anterior fillings that enhance patients’ smiles without looking “overdone.”
Outside of work, Carolina is a nature lover through and through. She spends much of her free time outdoors, hiking, biking, and camping around the UK’s coastlines, national parks, and hidden green spaces. She recently completed a road trip exploring some of the UK’s most scenic spots, including the Lake District and Scottish Highlands – both of which she’s more than happy to chat about at length!
When she’s not out adventuring, Carolina enjoys baking sweet treats, crocheting, and growing plants from seed — hobbies that reflect her nurturing, hands-on nature both in and out of the clinic.
