Ellena Upson graduated from Newcastle University and is excited to begin her career in the Southwest.
During her training, Ellena enjoyed the variety that each area of dentistry offered, with a particular enjoyment of emergency appointments, building rapport with patients and helping those who may feel anxious or nervous about dental treatment. She looks forward to continuing to develop her skills and knowledge across all areas of general dentistry before deciding if, and what area, she may wish to specialise in in the future.
Having recently moved to the Southwest, Ellena is looking forward to becoming part of the local community and making the most of everything the area has to offer. She believes that getting to know her patients and understanding their individual experiences is an important part of providing good dental care. She particularly enjoys helping patients feel more confident in attending the dentist and working together with them to achieve their goals for their oral health.
Outside of dentistry, Ellena enjoys keeping active through running, Pilates, and exploring new places. She is a big animal lover and particularly enjoys spending time with her family dogs when visiting home in Nottingham. She also loves travelling and spending quality time with family and friends.
