Meet Parth Patel – Dentist with a Focus on Sedation & Patient Care
Mr Parth Patel (BSc Medical Biochemistry Leeds 2010, DMD Hungary 2018, PGCert Oral Surgery Bristol 2022, PGCert Sedation Portsmouth 2025)
GDC Number: 278935
Originally from London, Parth spent his sixth form in India before returning to the UK. After completing a degree in Medical Biochemistry, he realised he wanted a more people-focused career, which led him to study dentistry in Hungary. Following this, he completed his Foundation Training in East Devon and quickly fell in love with the area, making Devon his home.
Parth joined the Torrington Dental Practice team in March 2026.
His main focus is sedation dentistry, with a particular interest in paediatrics and supporting anxious patients of all ages. He also works within the Community Dental Service in Barnstaple, caring for children and patients who may need additional support.
Parth particularly enjoys working with patients who may feel nervous about dental care – helping them feel at ease, building trust, and making each visit as positive as possible. He’s often described as having an infectious laugh, a warm, approachable manner, and a great sense of humour.
Outside of work, Parth enjoys making the most of Devon life, exploring the countryside, travelling whenever he can, and spending time looking after his ever-growing collection of houseplants (which he’s proud are all still thriving!). He’s also a big fan of Marvel, Disney, and Taylor Swift, bringing a fun and light-hearted side to both work and home life.
Parth is looking forward to welcoming patients and helping make dental visits feel more comfortable and relaxed.
We’re so glad to have such a warm, positive addition to the team.
