Meet Your Dentist: Cameron Shaw
Cameron Shaw
GENERAL DENTISTRY
GDC Number: 296886
Growing up in a village near Swindon, Cameron Shaw has always called the South West of England home. After completing his A-levels, he studied dentistry at the University of Bristol, graduating in 2021.
Cameron completed his foundation year at a dental practice in Braunton, North Devon. Lucky for us, that kept him close to the coast, and he joined the team at Torrington Dental Practice, where he continues to enjoy working by the sea.
Known for his laid-back and friendly manner, Cameron prides himself on delivering excellent care while making the dental experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. He has a particular interest in cosmetic and minimally invasive dentistry and has recently completed advanced training in Invisalign and aesthetic restorative techniques.
In January 2024, Cameron travelled to Uganda as part of a dental outreach programme, where the team treated up to 200 people a day in remote and underserved areas. Clinics were set up everywhere from island communities on Lake Victoria to urban centres, helping patients who may otherwise never get to see a dentist. The experience left a lasting impression and deepened his passion for community-focused care.
More recently, in March 2025, Cameron ran the Rome Marathon, combining his love of running with fundraising for global health causes.
Outside the practice, he enjoys keeping active, live music, and travel. He’s currently working toward certification in digital smile design and stays up to date with the latest clinical techniques through ongoing postgraduate study.
