For the past 20 years, Torrington Dental Practice has been providing dental implants to patients in Devon, Cornwall, and beyond. During that time, we have placed over 3,000 implants, with patients referred from more than 70 regional practices.
We’re proud of our reputation as one of the UK’s top implant practices, but we’re conscious that not many people in Devon are aware of it! So, we have launched Devon Dental Implant Centre within Torrington Dental Practice to highlight our implant expertise and provide a clearer signpost to our practice for those in need of treatment.
“More and more people with missing teeth or ill-fitting plates are choosing to have implants as they are the closest thing to your natural teeth” says Practice Manager Toni Batty. “However, implant dentistry is a complex dental skill, and many dentists who offer it have not necessarily undergone formal training, nor do they have professional implant qualifications.”
Devon Dental Implant Centre is led by Professor Ian Mills, one of the Southwest’s most experienced implantologists. Ian holds a Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and combines his role at Torrington Dental Practice with his responsibilities as Dean of the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) and Honorary Associate Professor at Peninsula Dental School.
Other team members include Rhys Gabe, who has a master’s degree in Restorative Dentistry.
Although our dentists have many letters after their names, they couldn’t be more friendly and caring! If you are at all nervous about the treatment, rest assured that we are experienced in treating anxious patients and incredibly proud of our reputation for putting patients at ease.
