Meet Your Dentist: James Carbis
James Carbis
General Dentistry
GDC Number: 327968
James Carbis graduated with honours in Dentistry from Cardiff University, where his dedication and clinical excellence were recognised with the university’s prestigious ‘Prize of Dentistry’ in his final year. He joined our team in 2025 and has quickly become a valued member, recognised for his warm demeanour, meticulous attention to detail, and patient-first approach.
James is passionate about providing high-quality, compassionate dental care and takes pride in building trusting relationships with his patients. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is committed to continual learning and professional growth. During his studies, he developed a particular interest in Endodontics and Oral Surgery, areas in which he hopes to continue advancing his skills. That said, James remains open and enthusiastic about exploring other fields within dentistry as his career progresses.
Outside of the clinic, James leads a full and active life. Splitting his time between the natural beauty of Devon and his hometown of Brighton, he makes the most of both coastal and countryside living. A lover of the outdoors, James enjoys surfing, skiing, hiking, and camping. He’s also an enthusiastic traveller and home cook, often attempting (with mixed results!) to recreate the flavours he discovers on his adventures abroad.
Music is another passion of James’s. A talented pianist and guitarist, he has previously competed and performed in both instruments, and now finds joy and relaxation playing music at home.
