BDS (Lond.), MScD (Wales), FDS RCPS (Glasg.), MOrth RCS (Edin)

From the very beginning, Zena Brenchley has been one of the true pillars of Torrington Dental Practice. As a partner, she stood shoulder to shoulder with Ian Mills and Rhys Gabe through every twist and turn, helping to shape the practice into what it is today.

Zena qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1986 and spent the following three years in Oral Surgery, during which she achieved her Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow. She then completed a further three years of postgraduate training in Orthodontics, gaining Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1993, as well as a Master of Science Degree during her time in Edinburgh.

Over her many years with us, Zena has transformed countless smiles across North Devon. From children to adults – with exceptional skill, care, and dedication. Her work has made an immeasurable difference to so many patients, and her contribution to the development of the practice is woven into its foundations.

After decades of commitment, Zena retired from clinical practice in September 2025. While she may no longer be treating patients, she remains an active partner and continues to play a vital role at the practice, offering guidance, experience, and unwavering support to the team she helped build.
